MEET YOUR NEIGHBOUR
👋
Martha Lefebvre, Community Garden Champion
If you’ve ever visited the Cornwall Community Gardens behind the Aquatic Centre, you’ve likely seen Martha tending to her rows of tomatoes and chatting with passersby. A longtime volunteer, Martha has helped mentor dozens of new gardeners and shares her surplus produce with local food programs. “It’s not just about the veggies—it’s about the connections,” she says.
WHERE TO GRAB A BITE
🍽
Where to Grab a Bite: Luna’s Mediterranean Cuisine
Tucked in at 619 Pitt Street, Luna’s has quickly become a local favourite for fresh, flavourful dishes like chicken souvlaki, tabbouleh, and homemade hummus. The spanakopita is a must-try—and don’t skip the baklava!
THROWBACK CORNER

Throwback Corner: 2nd Street East at Pitt, Circa 1910

Cornwall Circa 1910
This stunning photo captures 2nd Street looking east at Pitt Street around 1910 , offering a remarkable glimpse into Cornwall’s past. You’ll spot a police officer on the corner , the front porch of the King George Hotel , and the Sterling Bank , which once stood where the Poirier parking lot is today. Look closely and you’ll even see a horse-drawn carriage and the ornate water fountain , where horses stopped for a drink—an everyday scene from a bygone era.
PET OF THE WEEK
🐾
Titan the American Bulldog

Meet Titan , a young American Bulldog currently available for adoption at the Ontario SPCA – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre in Cornwall. Titan is full of love and energy—he’s affectionate, playful, and would thrive in a home with an experienced dog owner who enjoys staying active.
He’s best suited to a home without small children, and he’s looking for a forever family who can give him the time, space, and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Titan just might be your guy. 🐶 ❤️
